Info Bank
Info bank is the in-house library of Conifer. Every department at the corporate office maintains its own reference materials and sources, and these are electronically categorized into a group library from which members can enquire, borrow and share.
Purchasing-Post-opening
Conifer has built up libraries of technical databases for the products and services from its member properties. A matching information base of suppliers is underway so that internal reference checking could be made possible. Certain suppliers have already taken advantage of the business opportunities from Conifer's collective purchasing power by offering special quantity discounts to Conifer's member properties.
Operation Analysis
Conifer's reporting requirements have been refined at departmental levels. Traditional reporting requires them to be part of the controller's report. At Conifer, they have been elevated to full report status. Not only do the departments have more pages to reflect on performance, decisions, actions and analyses, they now have their individual formats that best suit their operations. Copies are also required by their counterparts at the corporate office. So problems and concerns can be flagged collectively and systematically.
Functional executives also tabulate statistics from these reports and compare them with those of the industries. Trends, projections, regressions, relationships, signals, and other findings are reported back to the member properties.
Squads
Conifer has developed a system of mobilizing its experienced operators within the group to help out member properties at crunch times or emergencies. They are known as Squads. An infrastructure has been built to identify the Squads ' members and their expertise, and the administrative arrangements necessary for their dispatch.
